Website Fix-Ups & Redesign for Small Business

This is a focused redesign and fix-up service for small business owners whose website is slow, outdated, or quietly losing them work. You get a faster, cleaner site that ranks better on Google, looks right on phones, and turns more visitors into calls, quotes, or sales — usually live in 1 to 3 weeks.

  • Clear call-to-action setup (phone, contact form, quote request, or booking)
  • Google Search Console and basic analytics installed and verified

How it works

  1. Free 20-minute call. I look at your site live and tell you what's actually wrong.
  2. Fixed-price quote with scope and timeline. No hourly billing surprises.
  3. I do the work on a staging copy so your live site keeps running.
  4. You review, we adjust, then we push it live together.
  5. 30 days of support included for small changes and questions.

Who it's for (and who it's not)

Good fit: small businesses with an existing site that loads slowly, looks dated, ranks poorly, or isn't generating leads. Trades, clinics, shops, agencies, restaurants, service providers — anyone whose site is hurting more than helping.

Not a fit: brand-new businesses with no site yet (you want the new site build instead), enterprises with a marketing team, or anyone looking for a $200 quick patch. If your site needs real work, it needs real work.

What it costs

Fix-ups and targeted improvements run $500 to $2,000 depending on scope. Full redesigns on your existing platform run $3,000 to $7,000. Shopify redesigns run $4,000 to $10,000. Most projects finish in 1 to 3 weeks from kickoff. You get a fixed price after the audit call — no hourly billing, no scope creep.

In short

If your site is slow, dated, or invisible on Google, I'll tell you exactly what's wrong on a free call and fix it for a fixed price in under a month.

Questions about this service

How long does a small business website redesign take?

Most fix-ups finish in 1 to 2 weeks. Full redesigns on your existing platform take 2 to 3 weeks from kickoff to launch. The timeline depends on how much content needs rewriting and how fast you can review drafts. I give you a firm date after the audit call, and I hit it.

Will I lose my Google rankings during the redesign?

No, if it's done right. I keep your existing URLs, redirect anything that has to change, and preserve your page titles and content structure. Rankings usually improve within 4 to 8 weeks because the site loads faster and the on-page SEO is cleaner. I show you the before-and-after Search Console data.

Do I need to switch platforms or hosting?

Usually not. If your current setup works — WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, whatever — I work within it. Switching platforms is expensive and risky, and most small business sites don't need it. If your platform is genuinely holding you back, I'll tell you on the audit call and explain the tradeoffs honestly.

How much faster will my site actually get?

Most sites I work on go from 5 to 10 second load times down to under 2 seconds on mobile. That's the Google Core Web Vitals target, and it directly affects both rankings and conversions. I show you the before-and-after PageSpeed scores so you can verify the improvement yourself.

What if I'm not sure my site is the problem?

Book the free audit call. I'll look at your site, your Google Search Console data if you have it, and your analytics, and tell you honestly whether a redesign will help or whether your problem is somewhere else — like your offer, pricing, or marketing channels. I'd rather lose a sale than sell you something you don't need.

Can you update the content too, or just the design?

Both. I can rewrite page copy to be clearer and more conversion-focused as part of the redesign, or work with whatever you write. Most small business sites need both better design and better words — vague headlines and feature dumps are usually the bigger problem. We'll cover this in the audit call.
